New Italian Restaurant a Great Addition to Downtown Bend

Being a restaurant owner in Bend is not easy. From tight food margins to difficult customers, building a new business to a place people talk about and come back to is no easy task. Bend's newest restaurant is on track to follow that challenging path. Salute' Bend is an Italian restaurant in Bend worth remembering. 

This cozy restaurant is located in the old High Tides location, or more recently the old Citizen location on Bond in Downtown Bend across from Deschutes Brewery. This space has a strange hallway entrance that looks more like the beginning of a bad horror movie with unique lighting and a sterile feel than the entrance to a wonderful Italian eating establishment. Make your way past the elevator to a glass doorway on your right and you will find the entrance to Salute' Bend.

For the second year in a row, Bend Premier Real Estate is the Title Sponsor for Bend's premier food festival - Bite of Bend. This 3 day festival is for all Bendites who love to eat! There will be Live Music during all 3 days, the Top Chef competition, the conscious living showcase, the beer run, the marketplace filled with food to sample, the little hopper root beer run for kids, the Bend family play zone and the mixology showcase which features the Bartender's Brawl. Bend Oktoberfest September 21-22

One of Bend's most unique fall festivals is Bend Oktoberfest celebrated in the middle of September. Besides being the main fundraiser for Downtown Bend, Bend Oktoberfest offers "great beer, delicious food, silly games and feats of strength."  Starting Friday, September 21 at 3:00 pm, the festival will include the Stein Hold Competition, the Chicken Hat Hunt, the Bend Beer Choir, the Tricycle Races and the most popular event - the Weiner Dog Race. There will be something for every Central Oregonian to enjoy!
